Dr Adrian Ooi attended medical school in London and was awarded the MBBS (Bachelor in Medicine, Bachelor in Surgery), graduating with clinical distinction in 2006. After graduation, he continued his medical training in London, before completing his basic surgical training as well as the rigorous Singapore plastic surgery training program at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
To further his specialty training, he has crossed the globe to prestigious institutes under scholarship from the Ministry of Health (MOH), Singapore, completing his reconstructive microsurgery fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center in the USA, and his aesthetic surgery fellowship at The Wellington Hospital in London. Both fellowships provided him the opportunity to perfect his practice under the close mentorship of eminent American and British plastic surgeons.
Dr Ooi’s primary focus in plastic surgery are the fields of aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. His sub-specialty areas of interest include aesthetic surgery of the face, body contouring, minimally-invasive plastic surgery (being one of only 2 Da Vinci Robot trained plastic surgeons in Singapore), aesthetic and oncoplastic reconstructive breast surgery, management of skin cancer, lymphedema surgery as well as head and neck reconstructive surgery.
Most recently, Dr Ooi was the Program Director for the prominent Singapore Integrated Program for Plastic Surgery and teaches at the National University of Singapore and Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Ooi has also contributed, written and co-authored multiple journal publications and book chapters focusing on plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is recognized for his expertise on a regional and international scale, being invited as a guest speaker at various esteemed conferences in Asia and the United States.

Out of work, Dr Ooi treasures time with his family and friends. He is a keen sportsman who enjoys swimming, golfing, skiing, and has been competing in marathons and triathlons since 1997. He has also maintained a strong appreciation for the arts since his secondary school days where he was a scholar in the Singapore Government’s art elective program. During his spare time, Dr Ooi finds himself at home with his feet up on the couch, spending time with his wife and son whilst listening to classic hits from the 80s and reading a good book.
